The Key Stage 3 syllabus is usually taught in secondary school between years 7-9. It’s a critical time for giving students a solid foundation of knowledge and confidence going towards their GCSEs. At Talent Engaged Tuition, we support students with tuition for the three core subject areas: Maths, English and Science.
We also have higher and lower sets for each core subject, we’re able to support children of all abilities to ensure the right level of support for all of our students.
BRIDGING THE GAP FROM KS2 TO KS3
Coming from Key Stage 2, many Year 7 students find the transition to Key Stage 3 and high school intimidating and challenging. We make this transition easier by providing the core foundation of the KS3 curriculum, enabling them to get a concrete understanding of the key subjects.

For Year 9 students gearing up to GCSEs, we make every effort to ensure that student knowledge is sound. It’s imperative that students develop the skills and urgency required to take on GCSEs with confidence, and we also support them with advice such as how to pick GCSE options.

Our subject coordinators build our own bespoke syllabus which is fully aligned with the national curriculum, and enriched with key techniques to excel students academic progress. All Key Stage 3 lesson plans and homework are prepared for the entire year in advance, meaning students never miss important topics and cover the entire KS3 curriculum.

I did functional skills level 2 English& Maths and I had good experience discussing the details of the examination with staff in Excel Tutors. They were very helpful, fast, and professional. It’s great as I took a long time to find a qualified centre and I was happy with my choice.
